Vertical Search Marketing
Vertical Search Marketing
Vertical search Marketing also known as the niche marketing
is the next big thing in SEO, as by now every webmaster
tries to target the main or high traffic keywords for their
websites, leaving apart the low traffic keywords but VSM
says that you should target low traffic keywords first and
then the high traffic keywords. Let’s take an example that
how these things will actually get settled, suppose I own a
SEO or Web Design Company in Las Vegas and I have a website
related with this, then I will start my website’s initial
promotion with the keywords like Las Vegas SEO or web design
Las Vegas and concentrate on these low traffic keywords
rather than going straight for relatively high volume
keywords like Nevada SEO or web design Nevada or SEO USE or
even more high traffic keywords like SEO & web design.
Target those keywords first that are easy to capture and
competition in those keywords is relatively low. The concept
of vertical search marketing came from vertical search
engines, these search engines are specifically designed for
country, state or city and industry specific products,
services or information, thus saving your search time.
Vertical Search Strategy will keep your visitor’s graph
always upside as you will target the audience from low
density to high density keywords and hence the same way your
Alexa ranking and Google PR will be. The basic point in this
marketing strategy is that start from the low traffic
keywords and rise till high traffic keywords. Capture your
niche market first and then try to go for high volume
keywords.

5 Biggest Niche Marketing Mistakes
5 Biggest niche marketing Mistakes
The only thing you will want to understand better than the
process of successful niche marketing is what precisely you
should avoid as a niche marketer. In this article, I will
summarize the five biggest things you should avoid when
niche marketing.
1.Marketing to a broad audience. The purpose of niche
marketing is to narrow down your potential buyers to a
small, tightly-defined group of consumers, laser-target
their preferences, and then contact them through the
channels that define their interests. Many people,
unfortunately, do not understand this; and they end up
creating a niche marketing campaign that targets a large or
generalist audience. They soon find out that there is simply
too much competition and are forced to give up. They also
find that their marketing campaigns yield pitiful responses,
since they are untargeted and since the group in question is
also untargeted. Don’t make this mistake. Target your
audience carefully.
2.Foregoing the beta testing phase. Most inexperienced niche
marketers skip the beta testing phase. They don’t like the
idea of giving away their products for free, even if they
will get something in return. Unfortunately for them, beta
testing is a crucial part of a long term niche marketing
strategy. In general, your customers, not you, will have the
best ideas for what you can do within your given niche.
Listen to them and you can only stand to benefit.
3.Failing to match the product benefits with the audience.
Again, this is another serious problem: many niche marketers
fail entirely in matching product benefits to audiences. On
their sales pages, they write something that sounds mildly
attractive, but it doesn’t provide any concrete benefit for
that specific audience. Again, if you’re marketing to a
niche audience, you have to pick your audience and then
create a product for that audience. The last part is
communicating to them that your product is in fact for them.
4.Underestimating the size of a given niche. Initially, you
will want to narrow your focus in on your given target
audience and their wants. Once you have done that, however,
you will then want to penetrate further into your niche,
marketing to customers who might not be as likely to
purchase from you. The goal here is to make as many sales as
possible; however, if you underestimate the size of your
niche - and only market to those who seem most obvious -
then you will never be able to maximize your profit in that
given niche.
5.Malmonetizing a given niche site. In many cases, marketers
will find a good niche and will capture a sizeable share of
the traffic, but they wont ever be able to monetize it
correctly. The end result is that they lose money or break
even, when they could be earning money hand-over-fist. For
this reason, it is always a good idea to look at a mix of
monetization methods and what their revenue-generating
potentials are.
Make sure that you understand each of these five tips well.
Falling into any of these traps could be fatal to your niche
marketing plans.

Earn Money Sitting At Home
Earn Money Sitting At Home
How to profit with niche marketing is a popular buzzword in
the world of online business. This concept aims to teach
online business owners how to market to the target audience
that will generate the most amount of sales for their
business and how to select a niche to market to start a
business in if they do not have one.
Be careful though! niche marketing is a little bit tricky,
tricky because finding your niche is the secret to your
success. And without the right resources, it’s nearly
impossible to totally dominate your niche. You don’t want to
waste precious advertising time and money on just basically
blanketing the Net with all different types of advertising
tactics and spending lots of money in areas that are,
really, just a waste of time.
Whatever product or service you are selling, you can likely
dig deeper and identify a segment of the broad market. Using
the example above, your segment or “niche market” would be
those people who are specifically looking to buy life
insurance. However, you can continue to dig deeper by
separating the segments of people who want to buy a whole
life insurance policy and those who want to buy a term
insurance policy. Each of these niche markets have different
needs. Speaking to those respective needs is far more
effective than speaking to the needs of a broad market.
If you remember that all you will need to be successful is a
lot of hard work and dedication then in no time at all you
will start to see the money rolling in. However, it might
take a little more time than expected so be patient.

Niche Marketing is About Less Traffic More Business
niche marketing is About Less traffic More Business
Imagine two shops that receives 100 customer each every day.
Of these hundred customers 40 always find and buy what they
need in each of these two shop. Of these 40 that buy 30 come
from across the road where fewer people live. Imagine that
one of these shops decides to relocate across the road to
the smaller population to be nearer to her customers and
serve them better. Obviously because of fewer people she
attracts less customers to her shop. However because of the
closer relationships the customers can now request for what
they want stocked. As a result not only do all the customers
to her shop buy, they buy more often. This is the power of
niche-marketing.
Remember ‘Differentiate or Die’, a noble concept peddled not
so long ago for survival of corporations? Online it is
‘Niche or Die’. This is becoming increasingly critical for
the small internet businesses.
niche marketing is a simple concept that involves targeting
very specific keywords and optimizing your website and
internet marketing for those specific terms. This practice
can help a business, even one in a very competitive online
category, to gain an advantage in the search listings.
You probably have heard that the internet has leveled the
playing field for businesses small or large; those with huge
budgets and those with shoe string budgets. As much as this
is true, you will quickly discover that no sooner than you
have rolled out a Pay per Click campaign, that your moneyed
competitors are willing to bid 10 times more than you can
even afford - a strategy called loss leader. As an online
business person you are ill-equipped to market to the high
traffic keywords - read huge markets- both monetarily and
capacity wise. Unless you like the feeling of your head
cramped in a vice, you are better of targeting more
low-traffic yet closely related keywords. Though the
internet does give you access to these huge markets
theoretically, you will be quickly overwhelmed trying to
satisfy it.
As a small business, trying to fight for the same market as
itunes.com or amazon.com is often suicidal. However you
could provide exclusively East-African Music and compete
very effectively with itunes or sell specifically
motivational books and compete effectively with amazon.
These smaller markets provide niches which as a small
internet business you can not only satisfy but easily
over-deliver. Niche markets may provide less traffic but
when well structure they give you more business.

The Advantage and Consequences of New Economy Marketing
The Advantage and Consequences of New Economy Marketing
Some of the research that has been done today gives us a lot
of information on the values of today’s society. What I’m
referring to is a lifestyle in which there is more to do in
generally less time in which to accomplish it. There’s more
to spend money on so there’s less disposable income. Quite
often there’s just one parent instead of the traditional two
parents. Safety and security is important, Quality and value
are more important than ever. People are willing to pay more
for desired quality. People are also willing to withdraw
from the unnecessary and focus on essential stuff, and
Convenience is extremely important. Consumers are having a
wild time with technology.
The 90’s have been characterized as the “Decade of Decency”
and such trends have been projected as cocooning and
burrowing (staying at home), socializing with
similarly-minded people in smaller groups, backpacking,
4-wheel drive vehicles, antirich, anti-big,
anti-professional backlash has been happening.
Dumping the corporate grind for small-town quality life.
Self service niche type products and services and self
indulgences such as fresh flowers and Godiva chocolates.
Adults are acting like teenagers. Golden Oldies now appeal
to the youngsters as well as the 40’s crowd. Fitness buffs
are on a super quest for health. Vigilante consumers who
read the labels, protest and boycott. People want it now..
People are becoming socially responsible.
If you use these items in your marketing, given this new
lifestyle, and you wish to sell these people who make up
this new lifestyle, you need to be prepared to target your
marketing efforts toward these segments.
Some of the characteristics you need to address are making
your business products and services appear to be necessary
when this market is with drawing from the unnecessary. You
need to compete for the potential customer’s time and
attention when they’re already overscheduled and subjected
to too much stimulation.
You need to connnunicate the legitimate quality of your
product and services in a world where every business seems
to make the same claim of quality. and reliability. You need
to target those individuals who have an interest in your
business as products and services and they have the money to
spend on them. You do this with target marketing.
Two very critical strategies for this marketing mission
include the correct identification of your USA (Unique
Selling Advantage) and test marketing every phase of your
business and marketing plan, and your product and service
development.
Remember that in selling, time is money! Therefore, you must
allocate only so much time to each prospect. The prospect
who asks you to call back next week, or wants to ramble on
about similar products, prices or previous experiences, is
costing you money. Learn to quickly get your prospect
interested in, and wanting your product, and then
systematically present your sales pitch through to the
close, when they sign on the dotted line, and reaches for
their checkbook.

5 Scorching Hot Tips on Succeeding in Affiliate Marketing
5 Scorching Hot Tips on Succeeding in affiliate marketing
affiliate marketing has been progressively famous for the past years. Most programs provide businesses the chance to use various sales people who are only paid for the outcomes they get. Most starters in affiliate marketing are also given the benefit in the fact that they can start an online business even though they only have a few capital.
The compensation for affiliates is well high and the trained affiliate marketer can make thousands of dollars each month. This condition is direct to the increasing number of affiliate programs that are offered to every prospective marketer. With the boost of chances, many questions appear on how you will opt for precise opportunities, what are the requirements needed in choosing a program and which program will give an essential income?
All these questions when answered and delivered correctly will surely lead you to success.
Below are five tips that will help you in assessing businesses and their affiliate programs. These tips will ensure you of success without the need of wasting too much effort and money.
1. How much does the business will compensate you?
It is necessary that you know how much you should anticipate from each sale. It would be useless to spend more of your time and money endorsing a product and being not compensated well in return. There is a possibility that you could end up wasting more on promoting than you are about to do on sales. With this, it is better to stick on endorsing the products with high payments, unless you have initiated a role market where you can trade large numbers of product, and get significant payments.
2. How much traffic does an ecommerce site get?
Try to know the quantity of traffic the business site is previously getting. If the site is placed on the top 100,000, the business is having a better amount of traffic, and there is a chance that it already has many affiliates. If it is placed under 500,000 it is either not good or it must have a good chance to earn money.
Do constant research on a product if the site has a low traffic standing. It would be a great idea to purchase a product yourself if only you can pay for it. If not, you can also make a research to learn if there are any unpleasant remarks about it online.
If you think everything is doing fine and the product is great, you probably have found a hit!
3. How regular are the payments given?
Some business give their payments each week, others once a month, and some would pay every 4 months. It is necessary that you have an idea on when to expect your commissions.
It would also be a great idea to know the smallest payments that you have to make before you are compensated. Some affiliates will not send your commissions until you gather a definite amount. However, there are affiliates that compensate the moment the sale is completed.
4. Does the business compensate on succeeding sales?
Some affiliates will only compensate on sales through clients viewing their sites through a direct link from your site. They will compensate you nothing for a few succeeding purchases that the clients make if they directly view the business website. It is necessary that you be compensated regardless of the way the client revisits the site if you are to make a profitable business.
5. What marketing resources do the affiliates provide?
Find out the kind and value of marketing materials that they offer for their affiliates. Will they offer articles or content that you can utilize to endorse them on your website? Are they offering free guides, special offers and samples, which can be of great use in promotion?
If you think their marketing resources are just as fine, it is possible that the business will give good assistance for its affiliates.
However, there are also times that you gather better reactions by means of your own marketing techniques. If the affiliate programs you are promoting have already been in the business for a long time, it is probable that all the promotions and marketing are outdated and been over exposed.
Therefore, new promotions will initiate your readers to think that yours is a fresh product.
affiliate marketing can be a very profitable business and a great starting point for everyone new to online marketing. Looking for an accurate affiliate can be a delicate business. So, the best thing to do is to make your studies and inquiries. You can use the above questions/tips as your help to searching a business that allows you to achieve your economic objectives.
Don’t Make These Common 4 Affiliate Mistakes!
Don’t Make These Common 4 Affiliate Mistakes!
Myths concerning affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive. People who do not know the entire system the wrong way round are prone to believing that it is something capable of giving them great fortune overnight. Stories concerning affiliates who earn tremendous amounts of money swim in their heads, and while these stories are as true as they can be, there are those who believe that they are going to have the same fortune once they indulge in this particular business.
It is true enough that affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have gone through everything to be able to succeed in this business are reaping the seeds that they untiringly sowed. Many of them enjoy the kind of existence that was not possible for them to have had under ordinary circumstances. Having gone through the A-Z of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that while such business is lucrative, there is absolutely no easy money in it.
Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are people who fail miserably in the internet business. There are those who believe in myths concerning the easy money involved in systems such as affiliate marketing. They do not know that there are those who have wasted time, effort and too many resources in trying to pursue the life of ease that they believe this business will give them. And so they go into affiliate marketing armed with nothing but myths and fantastical notions of wealth swimming in their consciousness, never realizing that they bound to make mistakes that would prove to be their downfall.
What may be the reason why in businesses such as affiliate marketing, many are called but few are chosen? Perhaps the answer lies on the fact that many affiliates make mistakes that result from their ignorance of facts concerning how the entire business runs. affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant

Launching Pad
Developing competitive advantage in the market place is not
the easiest thing to accomplish.
According to Wikipedia,
“Competitive advantage is a position that a company occupies
in its competitive landscape. A competitive advantage,
sustainable or not, exists when a company makes a profit,
that is, their earnings exceed their costs.. That means that
normal competitive pressures are not able to drive down the
firm’s earnings to the point where they cover all costs and
just provide minimum sufficient additional return to keep
capital invested. Most forms of competitive advantage cannot
be sustained for any length of time because the promise of
profits invites competitors to duplicate the competitive
advantage held by any one firm.”
“A firm possesses a sustainable competitive advantage when
it has value-creating processes and positions that cannot be
duplicated or imitated by other firms that lead to the
production of above-normal rents.”
Wow…. That’s a mouthful and pretty simplistic. However, to
make that happen and create sustainable competitive
advantage, which means creating sustainable profitability, I
believe it starts with a well thought out strategic plan; a
plan that has the potential to substantially improve a
company’s performance. A strategic plan is a competitive
differentiator in today’s volatile economy and it can
function as a launching pad to create competitive advantage
by leveraging your differentiation. What is it that you do
that makes you different and defines your value
propositions?
Vision
Creating a well thought out strategic plan starts with a
vision. Most importantly, however, as a leader you must be
able to turn this vision into a cause. A vision without a
cause is simply a day dream. That means that as the leader
you must be able to document this vision into an end game -
a destination that you want the company to reach.
A critical factor and the very first step in developing a
strategic plan is turning your vision into a cause by
developing your end game. Just exactly what do you want your
company to be when it grows up? Ask yourself the following
questions from the perspective of looking five to seven
years into the future.
1. What markets should your company be serving five years
from now?
2. What products should you be distributing?
3. Who are your primary competitors?
4. What are your strengths?
5. What are your competitors’ strengths?
6. How has your marketing strategy changed?
7. What are your core competencies?
8. What is the size of your revenue stream?
9. How is your revenue stream segmented?
10. Do you have a Human Resource Development plan?
A Creative Process
Strategic planning is a creative process the starts with the
visionary creativity of the owner or CEO. The fresh insight
it engenders might very well alter past initiatives.
Planning also consumes resources which are precious
commodities. It can be an overwhelming and daunting task,
but it is a process that eventually defines the direction
and activities of the organization.. Despite its
overwhelming nature, the benefits of planning can far
outweigh the hard work and pain involved in the process.
Strategic planning is a key process that adjusts an
organization’s direction in response to a changing
environment. It supports the fundamental decisions and
actions that shape and guide an organization. A sound
strategic plan can help define and focus a distributor’s
efforts to move the company in the right direction, using
the best methods. It can and often does create competitive
advantage.
A well thought out Strategic Plan is essential for a
business to be successful. Unfortunately, many businesses
fail when it comes time to implement their plans. The result
can be wasted time and money as well as numerous missed
opportunities.
Strategic planning creates a team culture that is necessary
for success. Working together effectively is not automatic.
It takes a specific effort and the development of a culture
that is supported by executive management. Shared
experiences create unity and value. Knowledge transfer is
essential for an organization to grow. Without knowledge
transfer and the sharing of the planning experience it is
difficult for the group to share the vision and work toward
common goals.
Some “experts” may encourage you to hold a weekend retreat
where you all sing the same songs, drink the same kool-aid
and come away with a long list of initiatives that never get
done. Other experts may tell you, as published in one of our
industry’s leading newsletters:
“The strategic planning process itself is simple enough for
most firms to do the work on their own. An outside
facilitator with the right experience and skills can speed
the process and help to assure workable results. An ideal
plan can be boiled down to a ‘one-page strategic plan,’ a
simple summary every employee can understand and apply in
his or her daily work.”
Not true, not true at all. Oh, it is certainly important for
every employee to have a crisp, short explanation of what
your strategy is all about but this is simply part of
creating ownership and buy-in. We call it the “Core Strategy
Statement”. Implementation is Key
Absolutely essential but standing on its own with no precise
implantation outline, with accountability, goals and
timelines makes it nothing more than a slogan or mission
statement. And…… Mission Statements do not create
success. Actions create success.
Developing a successful strategic plan that creates
competitive advantage is much more than a one page brief.
There are a number of important factors that must be
considered if a strategic plan is to be successfully
implemented. There are a number of ways to insure that
company behavior really changes as a result of the strategic
planning process.
A strategic plan that creates competitive advantage must be
built upon the following:
Make Money From Naked Pole Vaulting?
Make Money From Naked Pole Vaulting?
I work for myself from home, earning my living from
marketing via the internet. One of the areas I focus on is
sport, firstly because I love so many sports, and secondly
because it provides a rich resource of niche markets to tap
into.
As I was doing my usual research, I came across nude pole
vaulting, so read on to find out what I discovered…
One way to pick niche markets in sport is to focus on
individual sports stars, and then market to their fans. I
use free online tools to research these markets, and one of
them threw up a name I hadn’t heard of before - Mary Sauer.
So who is she, and how can she make you money..?
Well, Mary is a pole vaulter, and she has some pictures
online of her nude. She’s not in the middle of a vault - I
don’t know if you’ve ever watched a pole vaulter, but to see
one naked in action would be more of a medical lesson than
anything else! No, this one is tastefully presented, with
her on a rock in the desert, with a vaulting pole in hand.
As for how you can make money from this - that answer is
easy - niche marketing.
niche marketing is simply where you focus on a group of
people with a particular interest, and then you can focus
your marketing efforts on that group. The more defined the
niche, the better focus you can get, and believe me, in the
online world where people are *not* focused, those of us who
know how to, are so far ahead of the field!
So as I say, sport is a niche, but it’s too broad - you may
go for people who play sport, or people who watch sport. As
for those who watch sport, you wouldn’t market football
posters to gymnastics fans, and you probably wouldn’t talk
about nude pole vaulting to synchronised swimmers say.
If, however, you market football posters to football fans,
then *cherching!* you are on the right track to serious
money.
I earn my living from this kind of marketing, and some
people earn 6 figure salaries from it - it’s simply a case
of following techniques refined by others.
So, next time you watch pole vaulting, you’ll think of it in
a whole new way!
