If you want to increase your online sales volume then you will want to look towards split testing. It is okay if you are not sure what split testing is as there are many people who have never heard of it. You can use split testing to figure out why some web pages are more successful than others and thus use the better web pages. What split testing does is take two different web pages that you’ve created and it rotates between the two. It rotates every time someone visits your site thus only every other person will see the same page.
If you’re trying to sell a product online then you will be able to benefit from this greatly as you will be able to find out what methods work best and what web pages get the most sales. You will first have to create two different web pages for the same product. Then you setup the script to rotate the two pages. Afterward you can view the results and see which site is performing better.
You may be curious why script testing can be such a big deal. If you only have a 1% conversion rate before you run a test and you gain .5% of a conversion rate leaving you with a 1.5% rate after, then you know that your new web page is better than the old one. You can then compare it to the other one that you’ve designed to see how well that web page does.
You can constantly run split tests which is the best part of it. This is because you can always improve your sales by creating better web pages and using a split test whenever your sales become stationary.
Whether we like it or not, sales are what keeps businesses running. It doesn’t matter whether you sell a product or a service you will need sales to keep your business running. Therefore it’s important to find a way to increase them. If you use split testing you can gain an advantage by gaining the knowledge that you would not know about. You can start to see improved sales because you will know which sites of yours impulse your customers to buy. You will also be able to try many different methods to creating a site since you can run a simple test to see how well they perform.
You will gain a vast knowledge of information from simply performing a few split tests on your domain. Many marketers believe that you should increase your sales by increasing the amount of visitors to your site. While this is an effective way to increase your sales it also costs extra money. You can similarly increase your sales by increasing what’s appeasing to your guests. You may be skeptical about investing your time to do a split test however you won’t know how effective it can be until you actually try it. After all is said and done you can use the information that you’ve gained from your split test and apply it across several domains.
