Affiliate Marketing Using Blogs - From Traffic Generation to Conversions
Every once in a while, you find something that is a real gem and can help you in your
marketing efforts in amazing ways. For years, many of us have used static webpages in
order to attract traffic and to convert that traffic into sales. Although this still works
and will probably continue to work for many years to come, there are other methods of
creating these websites that you want to make sure you’re not overlooking. For example,
affiliate marketing using blogs is one of the easier ways for you to make money by offering
other people’s products to your visitors. How do these blogs work and how do you convert
your visitors over into sales effectively?
At their very basic level, blogs are simply a way of putting content onto the Internet. By
using the back end control panel, the blog owner is able to easily add content on the
Internet and to alert other websites and people that the content is available. This is
done through what is called a ping and it basically serves to alert other services that new
content is on the website and they readily come to take a look. There are other automated
processes that are available on the backend of these blogs which all serve to get you
targeted traffic from the search engines and from other locations on the Internet where
people are looking for information.
Once you are receiving targeted traffic to your website, you can convert them into
affiliate sales in a number of different ways. Perhaps one of the more effective ways of
doing this, however, is by providing feedback on whatever affiliate product you are
offering. You may also want to pay attention to the layout of your blog and there are
plenty of themes that are available which can be downloaded for free and will instantly
update the look and feel of your blog. There are also some specific marketing themes that
are available and although you have to pay a little bit in order to receive them, they
really help to get your offers in front of the people that are looking for them.
affiliate marketing using blogs is one of the easier ways for somebody that is new to
internet marketing to begin making money effectively. It is also something that should not
be overlooked by those who are more seasoned in their internet marketing efforts.

Is Your Blog the Shopping Cart to Your Monetary Freedom
Ten years ago if you asked someone what a blog was they would probably relate the term to some sort
of vicious creature in a science fiction movie. Move over 1990 and make room for the real “now”.
The derivation of “blog” was the short version of website-log. Whole lot easier to say and remember,
not to mention personalizing the Internet in a way not seen before. A long definition is “a Web page
that serves as a publicly-accessible personal journal for an individual. Typically updated daily, blogs
often reflect the personality of an author”. Stretch this definition to include the ability to publish
content about a particular topic of theme and you describe a fantastic marketing tool when put to proper
use.
It is said that the majority of marketers use the Internet improperly in their quest for monetary gain.
Just a short bout of Internet surfing and this is easily seen. If anything, regular websites are just that,
websites. They are a static advertising method. Rarely are major changes made in most sites due to the
complexity of downloading, recoding and then uploading. While these changes are implemented the
site is usually unavailable on-line, which is not a very good thing for those attempting to access your
pages. While full websites are fantastic at delivery of content the difficulty of updating them frequently
leaves them with them with outdated and impersonal information.
Enter the mighty Blog. Remove the word static and replace with “dynamic” and away we go. The
foundation of a blog allows instant and frequent updating without taking the site “down”. Your visitors
are able to read the entire contents of your blog even while you are working on the next entry and then
–Voila! Your new content is instantly delivered and interest of the visitors is held fast.
Internet users are seeking information that will solve a problem for them. While they seek out this
information they are not looking to be sold with constant bombardment of advertising material while
they view a page. Many will not spend time on a web page consisting of blaring ads with minimum
content to solve that problem. Proper use of your blog will hold their attention. Your daily posts
should always be informative and up do date. Implement a comment section to your blog and you
effectively open a avenue of direct communication with you and your visitor. You allow them the
ability to ask you for additional information (or compliment your cool-looking blog!) and you get more
than a few second shot at attracting their business. As for the advertising? Widgets are the answer
there. With the use of widgets you can place advertisement, links to other pertinent sites or even a
calendar. All of these are unobtrusive to the visitor yet available to him when wanted.

3 More Techniques to Get Traffic for Affiliates
One of the most difficult things that we need to face as Internet marketers is getting traffic to our websites. Although there are multiple ways for us to do this and some of them are quite effective, it can be difficult to handle everything that is necessary in order to make sure that this important task is done. If you’re looking for more techniques to get traffic for affiliates, here are a few of my favorite methods that I make sure to use on a regular basis.
If I am just launching a new website and I want to get some traffic to it immediately, I will use pay per click marketing. This is not necessarily something that is for everyone because you do have to put out an initial outlay of money, which can be difficult for some people who are starting on a shoestring budget. You might be surprised, however, that you really don’t need all that much money in order for you to get started effectively. What you do need to do is to make sure that your landing pages are right on target with your keywords and that you use effectively written ads. This will get you the most amount of clicks and Google will reward you with lower costs.
Another thing that you may want to try is forum marketing. This is an excellent way for you to get targeted traffic to a brand-new website and to give yourself a little boost in the search engines at the same time. If you decide to do this, however, you need to make sure that you approach it properly. Forums are online communities and many of the members of these communities protect their property from invaders. You need to make sure that you are seen as a member of the community and not as an unwanted invader. Do this by leaving useful comments and answers to people’s questions. If they like what you have to say on the forum, they will naturally follow the link back to your website.
Finally, you might want to try your hand at article marketing. This is one of the more popular ways for people to attract traffic to affiliate pages and it is popular for a very good reason, it works. Write articles surrounding long tail keyword phrases and submit them to the article directories. If you are persistent in doing this, you would be surprised at the amount of traffic you will receive.

Traffic, Traffic, Who’s Got the Traffic?
An author of the last century penned the famous line “no man is an island”. When this is applied to the
world of computers it is doubly truthful. It matters not how many hours you spent designing your
website nor how enticing and appealing the graphics are when it sits day after day waiting for visitors.
You must build a bridge to your “island” to gain any foothold at all in Internet rankings. Build the
bridge as carefully and effectively as you built your website and the reward will be improvement in
your SERPS and increased traffic will follow.
While it is conceivable that your website will be an absolute traffic magnet from the date of launch you
will probably have to work to entice visitors to your pages. Advertisement is definitely a method of
procuring traffic to your URL. If you were operating a brick and mortar off-line store one of the
available methods of advertising would be billboards. Large or small a billboard is simply a manner in
which you avail people to the benefits of what you are selling. It is obvious that you cannot erect a
billboard on the Internet to carry your message.
Or is it? One effective on-line billboard is thepurchase of an ad block on other website pages. Or go to Google, Adbrite and others with a PPC campaign which definitely will have people knocking on your URL door. These methods demand a monetary output which you may not be able to afford. So why not use the free Internet billboard–”link-trading”.
Properly used the exchange of links is an inexpensive and effective method of advertising your website.
Your objective is to get your URL in front of as many websites and potential visitors and in a minimal
time. The starting block is your own site. The content you display needs to be as accurate and
attractive as can be. Your goal is to get another web master to link to you and if you present quality
then this task is much simpler.
The content on your site should be of value to the sites you desire to
link with. It may be necessary to add a few tips, articles, recipes or something else that will attract
another website to your link. Of course this also holds true in reverse. If your site is in great order for
your niche then seek out others with the same or higher caliber of content.
When the time arrives to contact other sites be persistent. The content you have may be the best stuff
since sliced bread (or at least you think so) but this does not mean that all other web masters will link
directly to your site. Be persistent in your search. In your search for links time will be your greatest
expenditure, and probably your cheapest.
Remember that link trading will work as a word-of-mouth form of advertising. When you receive and satisfy a visitor through a traded link you increase your traffic through that visitor when they pass your link on to friends, relatives or others involved in the same niche of marketing.

Forum Posting is The Green Light to Website Traffic
Months of dreaming, scheming, designing and coding and you finally have launched the best website to
ever grace the realm of the Internet. Now all you have to do is sit back and drink a cup of coffee while
visitors flock to your site like geese heading south in the winter, right? Not a chance. Unless you have
put together an absolute fluke people will not find their way to your pages by themselves. Your website
duties are not complete until you design a flow of traffic to the URL.
A simple, easy and very effective method to acquire traffic is to participate in forums that are relevant
to your product. Forums abound on the Internet and you should easily locate a few you are
comfortable belonging to. A few hours searching in the area of your niche and these will easily be
found. Register with a few and start reading threads in various discussion groups. It will not be long
before you find threads in these forums catering to your market area.
Forums exist as a venue for sharing ideas on a particular subject. In order for the forum to exist there
must be valuable input to all members. This is where the smart marketer excels. Sharing your
knowledge will allow you to build a reputation. This reputation becomes your tool to generate pre-
qualified traffic to your website. Proper care of this tool will give you continued return from your posts
And care of this tool is extremely important. Primarily you need to understand that you never sell
yourself or your products in a forum post. The value of your post is determined by the content and the
subject contained within. Understand there are people on the forum who have been there longer and
have more expertise than you do and post accordingly. If you jump on a forum and immediately start
posting in an arrogant or condescending manner you will quickly find yourself ignored or banned. Post
what is relevant to the thread and include anything you know that will benefit those reading it.
However, and this is a big however, do not use your posts to sell yourself, your website or your
product. The forum post itself is not a billboard where you can cram your URL and product name
down the throats of any readers on-line at that moment. Posting in this manner at best will get the post
deleted and at worst may get you banned from the forum totally. Again, if other members believe you
are there solely for self promotional purposes you will be inundated with negative replies and your
reputation is shot (and your tool will no longer exist).
So if you cannot be condescending and you cannot acclaim the virtues of your product in a forum post
how can you possibly generate traffic from this source? Your signature link is the answer. When you
register you create your signature within your user profile and this is the magical advertisement of
forum marketing. Your signature is the ego of your website. Within this block you post the full URL
and a brief description of who, what and how you are. When you create your reputation through
valuable postings you are able to draw attention to your signature block and what it means to you.
When a forum member finds something insightful in your post they are drawn to your signature and
you immediately have a visitor to your site. While this probably will not result in an instant sale you
will gain a following, possibly a backlink, and definitely advertising when this member quotes you on
another forum in which he is a member.

Niche Blog Marketing Techniques
Niche blog marketing is becoming more and more popular by the day. People are making fortunes with their blogs and it doesn’t even cost them a penny to get started. It’s a phenomenon that’s sweeping the globe — or at least all the writers and bloggers out there. Keep in mind, you do NOT have to be a writer or blogger to make money with niche blog marketing although of course it would help. You can very easily and cheaply find writers to write a few reviews that you can put on your blog, or any content that you might need (articles, gossip, etc.)
Here is a niche blog marketing technique that has made people millionaires time and time again.
Create a blog (which is free by the way and only takes minutes to set up) and then post some product reviews on your blog for either your own product or one you are promoting as an affiliate marketer. You can either write these reviews yourself, get them from the affiliate ‘toolbox’ itself, or have them written for you. There are many freelance writers online who can write blog posts, reviews and/or articles for you for a very affordable price, as low as $5 per post!
You can also blog about a popular topic, person, celebrity, movie, show, game, system, etc. and then have ads on your blog that earn you money anytime they get clicked on. Yep, no one has to purchase a thing. They click on the ad (from Google or Yahoo Ads on your blog) and you get paid. Bloggers are making so much money online doing this right now, as we speak. It is a very popular and effective form of niche blog marketing.
Now that you have some niche blog marketing techniques under your belt, you can implement them into your online and/or offline business. Good luck!

Then is you really want to get folks to bickering start a thread regarding important elements necessary for internet marketing success. Then sit back and watch the sparks fly!
First out of the box will probably be “content”. Posters will fall all over themselves stating that without content on your website then you simply do not have a marketing platform. And important it is because without reliable content you will have absolutely no chance in capturing or keeping visitors. The uniqueness of your content is what enables the spiders and crawlers of the browsers to index your website. And we all know that when your website is not recognized your chances of ranking hight on the search pages goes right out the door.
Next someone will post that “information” is the key to ultimate success. After all isn’t the Internet known as the “information highway”. Omit verifiable and pertinent information from your website and you might as well fire your hosting company and go back to mowing lawns for a living. However now we have a problem. Is it not true that “content” and “information” really are an identical feature of your website? If this is true then neither of them can by considered the most important element of your Internet affiliate business.
Well, if it cannot be content nor information maybe we should go on to “the list”. Everyone is aware that if you don’t have “the list” you will never succeed in any sort of business. Evidence is abundant from J.C. Penney’s relying on their catalog sales history to calculate approximate Christmas spending to the major gurus of affiliate marketing with lists numbering in the hundreds of thousands for each marketing email. Wow, there is no way around it: your list MUST be the single most important element of your business. Right? Well, maybe we should check out one more possibility before we close the book.
Lean over to that bookshelf where you store all your “important” business documents. Pull out the folder labeled “business plan” and open it up. If your is true to form there will be four elements for a successful business:
1.Why do you have a business?
2. What direction do you see your business going?
3. How are you going to achieve your goals?
4. How much will it cost to reach your goals?
Now take a look at these four statements and see if you can find the common denominator in each of them. That common denominator is THE most important aspect of your affiliate or other internet business and that is “YOU”. You my friend are absolutely and without a doubt the top secret single most important element in your business.
Without your dream the business plan would never have been written. If you have not been willing to give 100% or more to the business there success will never be achieved. If you do not have a long-term goal for your business you should just close the doors right now. As the product or service is developed you darn well better like it (or love it!) because if you cannot be passionate about what you do how in the world do you expect a potential customer to be.
So we see that appropriate content or information is very necessary for you to become an internet marketer. We learn that “the list” an extremely important tool allowing you to reach your customers when you have something new to offer. But neither of these is the “Absolute Most Important Top Secret Ingredient to Your Internet Business Success”. Last time—that honor has always fallen nowhere else but directly in your lap. And you CAN take that to the bank!
Is There a Secret to Finding The Benefits of a Home Based Internet Business?
Wow! When you gave up that three hour round trip commute to become an affiliate marketer from home were you aware that there are actually benefits? Of course you did or you would still be balancing a coffee cup, McFat breakfast sandwich and a steering wheel at 32 miles per hour in that traffic jam. Commute time is an obvious benefit so lets see if we can locate a few others.
Each year there are hundreds of thousands of individuals who give up salaried employment to explore the advantages of working from home. A large portion of these choose Internet affiliate marketing as their vessel to success. Major reasons for making this change often fall to time freedom and the ability to create a larger income
.
Many fail in their venture because they do not recognize that with these benefits come responsibilities. If you come into your business believing that you can do whatever you wish at whatever time of day you wish to do it you are heading for an early demise. Definitely your time is your own, however you are only given twenty-four hours in a day and by necessity some of that must be productive. If the television set or your family become your primary concern then watch out. There is a reason that companies schedule timed work shifts for their employees. And of course this is to guarantee that scheduled projects are completed in a timely manner. So although you are your own boss you are also your employee and time management is definitely a criteria. Only when you have productive will you truly have freedom for other things in life.
If you chose affiliate marketing in order to be able to control your income this is possible. When you have implemented your business plan you are well on your way to monetary success. Without this plan you will run into trouble. There is not a magical funnel in the sky that will drop dollar bills into your hand and make you wealthy overnight. Not to be repetitive but there is a reason that the corporate world sets goals and budgets to accomplish them. You will not get very far without investing something in your business. While a good chunk of that something will necessarily be monies spent for advertising, products or hardware you will also need to invest your TIME!
So lets see here. In order to have free time to play in what ever manner you wish to you first need to invest a bit of time in a productive manner. And in order to have the desired monetary freedom to do what you wish you must invest money and time in a productive manner. Is there starting to be a pattern here? Yes there is. It is said that your business will do for you what you will do for it. If you treat your business as a hobby then it will reward you as does a hobby. Conversely if you treat it as a business then you shall so be rewarded and the sky is the limit.
Now it seems that there is a secret to finding the benefits of a home based Internet business. That secret is to have control of your business plan and your production time. Couple that with the dedication to both of those and then you will be rewarded with FREEDOM and INCOME.

Should You Pay Attention To Your Page Rank?
Some suggestion to help you with the clutter
As you see many people in the forums talk a lot about page rank. It is obvious that page rank is important when it comes to determining the authority, strength and correlation it holds among many of our active websites. But as a blog marketing alternative, discard it. Here are some of the reasons why.
If you are looking to get a higher authority presence in Google, why pay attention to page rank when you can get thousands of one way links with a simple 15 minute work on your part. Page rank is not important when it comes to traffic and conversions. Page rank won’t bring you money, your traffic acquisition methods and your diverse amount of tactical and strategic methods will, not page rank.
Most importantly, page rank usually builds in a website over time. As long as people follow the white hat marketing techniques that even blog should follow to rank high on search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN – why take a sweat thinking about page rank? Page Rank is just another analytical tool to help marketers see the strong relation if any, of many website linking to the particular website you are currently viewing.
From depths from 1 to 10, if you have are classified as ten you are likely a multi millionaire. Getting a ten is usually total ecstasy for many online marketers, a 4-5 page rank catalogued site is something often seen online. But remember, as a blog marketing tactic or strategy don’t think about it as it won’t help you get more sales unless you are selling text link ads or advertising space on your website.

Making a Balance: Something Called Internet Marketing!
Some true life suggestions from some of my new marketing friends
Many of us want to start a business. The thought of stepping into the morning traffic, staring at the car next door and taking pooh-pooh from a frustrated boss anytime he wants to do so on you is a nightmare.
Whether you earn $2,000 a year or a well opinionated descent income of $140,000 a year the stress it creates when we don’t love what we do, frustrates our soul. That surely pretty understands for me and few marketing people I know online that has passed through h such situation. I mean, who hasn’t?
But here is a recommendation from heart, learned from my friends and even marketing partners. If you are not prepared to quit, don’t do it. The stress could be higher. It is even logical to even think of it and the consequences can be understood from a mile away. However, if you have confidence in yourself and you have enough experience to go solo – take a step back and think about it.
If you really want to quit your job, I ask you – does wasting money now and then on a rented Ferrari (the equivalent of $4,500 for just one day) will make you happy? Does owning multiple homes and living large like most people think will actually make you happier? From my studies from others I truly don’t think so.
How about being happier by living a well balance life where money is not a priority but surely a necessity? If you can live well without much stress of debt, is it worth it? internet marketing might be able to do that for you in reasonable time for sure.

Why Blog Marketing Can Be Good For You!
Here are some suggestions if you like making money the simple way over reasonable periods of time
Obviously I don’t know your exact desires, wants or even needs. However, I as well as many others can surely predict with intelligence what you want when it comes to happiness and life. It really isn’t money, I can bet it truly isn’t the hottest companion if you are single, or dinner with Brad Pitt if you’re a middle age single women.
The element that satisfies most of us, the one we truly desire that reunite most of the previously discussed elements is happiness. We want to be happier! How can someone get that? I know that nobody can give you that with the in the form of a magic pill.
But I do know this, if you start marketing your blog, overtime – you can make a decent living. Descent living can be $3,000 for you or $5,000 for the neighbor next door. It doesn’t make a difference when it comes to financial terms. That is what many people think initially, more money. However, the reality is we need money to create a balanced life. Man run the world, money moves it.
What I truly believe most of us need is a transformation. The complete of what many of us think right now. The thinking about wanting more is better; it isn’t in most of the cases. Giving you a special hint – think about creating a well balance life!
Ask yourself how to create a more balance life then how to make more money. I’m sure that if it isn’t descent money over a reasonable time with blog marketing, it might be an internet marketing opportunity. I know a job will not keep you happy forever. It never did for many of us!
