Have you ever forward something that you saw or read to a friend? How about sharing links with friends? That is exactly what Social Bookmarking is, except people are doing the forwarding for you. In this article we will look at ways you can multiply back links to your site with social bookmarking.
The essence of back linking is a skill and technique that will increase the traffic to your website in a hurry. The generated traffic comes from outside links that are on other sites linked back to yours. Simply put, it is a link on another blog or web site that goes to your site.
Back links will improve your presence on the internet and in time, increase you position on the search engines. The social sites are usually well known, well thought out sites and blogs that are very much established on the inter net. One thing is though; it is not always the easiest thing in the world to get the access you need to these sites.
All those little symbols and icons you see at the bottom, edges, and middle of the pages are social bookmarking.
Each and every one of them is a link to social bookmarking sites. Originally, the term book marking meant that you would set up a way to return to a specific site, sometime later, with ease. On these sites you are allowed to post articles that the other community members vote on. If you pull a lot of votes, you receive a high ranking, and may just end up on the front page.
The accounts are free to sign up for. You know these sites very well, Twitter, Face Book, Delicious, and Digg.com. When you are on Twitter or Facebook, you will have the ability to post links that take people to your site, Digg.com, or Delicious. It is amazing how much traffic you will generate and how fast the links will grow.
Then, in return you will post links to the social networking sites so people can click and go back to that site.
There are people who are very aggressive marketers and writers who go and post their own articles and then refer people back to their site from there. You can have everyone you know vote for your writing and sway the balance of the voting scale.
This is where quality really pays off. If your articles are truly good, you will get plenty of votes and plenty of back links, If you are consistent in your writing this will pay off very well in the long run, you will be amazed at how fast the back links spread. You can even develop a following, and people will be looking for your next article.
Here it is Bottom line. If you think that your search engine is not working for you and your ranking is not all that hot, your back links strategy can fix this in a short while. If you do well, your article can be adorning the front page of yahoo or Google before you know it and your website traffic will call for a dedicated server.
